The news is that our genes aren’t changing!
REALLY?!
For nearly 50,000 years if you follow the evolution model orsince the start of time with Adam and Eve, our genes have only become stronger, especially if you follow and subscribe to Darwinian Theory. So what does this mean?
Well for the last 100 or so years since medicine teamed upwith the big
pharma’s, more and more diseases appear to be blamed on genetics.
What's even more fascinating is that more of us are being diagnosed with
heartdisease, diabetes and cancer… all seemingly linked to our genes. Now
let’s take a closer look at this. If it were to be that genes were
responsible for all of our diseases, then we could do nothing toalter
the expression of our genes according to current mainstream thinking.
This would mean that regardless of whatever intervention you tried, nothingwould work, because your GENES control your existence! So according to this model, despite the fact that Smokingincreases your risk of lung cancer, quitting won’t make any difference to yourrisk.
Regardless of the fact that HRT increases the risk of heart attack, cervical cancer and breast cancer, stopping it will do nothing. And despite the fact that NSAID’s increase the risk of heart attack, blood pressure medicationis linked to cardio vascular disease and that statins increase your risk of acardio vascular ‘accident’, removing these drugs will prove to do nothing todecreasing your risks… because GENES control the system.
Let’s look at this from another angle… if we take a wildanimal from its natural environment, and we put it in a cage, under stress, what would happen to it?It would get sick!To make it better, we could change its environment, feed itfresher produce, give it clean water, or even better still, remove it from itsstressful environment and release it to the wild… we wouldn’t think to give itanti-inflammatory drugs, antibiotics, anti hypertensives or statin drugs… thiswould be ABSURD! But these are animals, just like we are animals.
Oh! But hang on we are a different kind of animal. We arehumans… we are deficient in drugs and surgery and therefore, our Genes are morelikely to be controlling our expression of health. If I was an ecologist, studying a river system and Isuddenly noticed that all the fish were getting tumours and dying and the birdseating the fish from the river were the same… do you think that it would bewise to pour chemotherapy in to the river to fix the fish? What about blastingradiation into the water? How do you think we’d go? If I were an ecologist… I’dbe looking up stream at what is effecting the environment… because it’s theenvironment that is responsible for the fish and the birds getting the tumours…NOT their genes.
Why are humans any different?
We aren’t, in fact we are probably the same in terms ofsensitivity to our environment… despite being the smartest race, we are missingthe big picture. It’s our nervous system’s response to the environment thatsignals the way in which our genes should code for life… in other words, if ourenvironment improves, our gene expression improves. This means that you aretotally responsible for your health… totally!
